Here at WL Distillery, we believe nature makes us who we are, which is why we wanted to create a gin that infuses that belief. We source the freshest ingredients to create a classic authentic gin experience for our customers.
Distilled in the North East, from start to finish our gin is expertly monitored and created, by hand, in our distillery. From our handpicked ingredients to our hand labelled packaging, no two bottles are the same.
In the North East, we are blessed to be surrounded by so much culture and tradition, and we infuse this into our practices as a business and as a gin distillery.
The inspiration for this comes from our founder spending his summers in his grandad’s garden, eating fruit from the bushes and trees as he basked in the sun and bonded with his family. He wanted to incorporate the flavours, including blackberries, pears and apples, from his childhood to produce the handmade, small batch gin.
There are many others who spent their childhoods picking fruit and producing cakes and pies with the fruits of their labours, and we wanted to produce a spirit that carries on that tradition. With gin from WL Distillery, we’re giving people a real sample of what the North East is all about. We set out to bottle up and give people a real flavour of the North East, and to feel those flavours from the Great British gardens. This is what inspired the creation of WL Distillery.
Meet Scott, our very own gin connoisseur. Scott founded WL Distillery through his interest in the creation of gin and the beautiful, intricate process it follows. Scott’s interest quickly became his passion, which is why he ensures he’s involved in WL Distillery every step of the way, from inventing the flavours and making the gin, to bottling and packaging it to share with the world. If it’s not the perfect serve to Scott, it is not being served to our customers.
